The Dae-B-Four LTD single (Only 250 copies pressed)
This is the 3-track single by The Dae-B-Four , one of London's premier mod groups of the 1960s. Taken from the original 10" acetate, these tracks (which include a version of Alvin Robinson's 'Down Home Girl' on the A-side & two self-penned songs on the flip) were demo recordings of the period.
Unfortunately, things did not turn out as planned for The Dae-B-Four & they called it a day - with guitarist Rex Brayley joining Love Affair & a proposed US tour being cancelled due to Brian Brayely (guitar) being under-age.
Half a century later, mod author, Don Hughes met up with lead vocalist, Iain Pitwell & discovered that he had the oprinal acetate: this eventually led to the recordings on this EP release.
Housed in a eye-catching mod art picture sleeve & bespoke label, this record is destined to become a huge collectible record among mod beat colelctors & obsessives.
